Students can have a greater hands-on experience- while remaining socially distanced- and will remain safe from some of the adverse effects to formaldehyde that they would otherwise experience with live dissections. Virtual dissections will also make it possible for students who are opposed to dissecting animals to be able to learn about different animals and their structures. This will help make dissections and learning equitable for all students regardless of safety concerns, COVID concerns, and moral or ethical concerns surrounding the idea of physical dissections.
Thank you so much!
