In 4th grade we focus on a lot of reading skill to help the students become more fluent readers. Skills such as inferencing, sequencing, point-of-view, main idea, and cause and effect, all help with reading comprehension. I have asked for games and kits that will help the students practice these skills while having fun. They can work on these activities individually or with a partner, which make the activities ideal. The more that the students are engaged and enjoying what they do, the more likely they are to do it. By allowing the students to have fun with their learning and making reading fun, the more they will do it!
