EAST is a student-driven class where the students get to focus on things they are passionate about. The students work on community projects year-round as well as do community service in their free time each semester. The students recognize the many problems prevalent in their community, and come up with amazingly creative ways to solve those problems, and make a difference. We have upwards of 25 community projects going on in our EAST classes right now. We have advanced technological resources to help the students in their endeavors, but the unfortunate truth is much of it is out dated or not working. With a high-end digital camera, we can document the amazing work the students are doing, and use it for our new annual photo session fundraiser to help us continue to raise funds and upgrade technology and resources for these students. It truly is a gift that keeps on giving!
