In Science, my students are learning about solids, liquids, and gases. As a Solid activity, there's a book that I will read to them about how to make their own liquid rainbows. Students will have the opportunity to explore what happens when certain liquids are mixed together. The vocabulary for this section of the Science lesson is: Disappear, Float, Layer, Mix, Reversible, and Irreversible. With this vocabulary, the students will make predictions about the liquids for the rainbow jar and test to see whether their hypothesis was correct. They will also have fun creating their own rainbows and will also be working on step-by-step instructions.
