Year after year my students are always asking me about doing gymnastics in physical education class. They are always showing me their splits and partner balances at recess and the likes. I work with over 400 low income students in the city Norwich, CT. Many of them never get the opportunity to participate in an organized gymnastics class at a facility that houses all the equipment and safety mats. I would love nothing more than to start collecting tumbling mats that would eventually cover the entire gym floor. Every year I would be able to teach a month long unit that incorporates tumbling, partner balancing, and floor routines. Please help make this goal for my students a reality.
