I am a very new teacher and upon entering the classroom I recognized that there are not a lot of available materials to ensure the success of my students. The folders will be used in order to hold them accountable for their reading and writing assignments. The big easel will be used for community guidelines and graphic organizers in order to process and understand content. Other materials such as the construction, glue, scissors are going to be used for art and crafts projects, namely so that they can have control as to represent key facts and details in social studies.
By donating to this project, you are not only helping my students have the materials to succeed but you are also giving them the opportunity to demonstrate ownership of their learning.
There are so many places in this world that are hostile to children and I want to make sure that my students to carve out their own havens-- starting in my classroom.
