SSYRA Jr. books are a great way to get kids to read good literature. We have contests throughout our building to promote the reading of these books. Students enjoy the different stories. We are able to have great classroom discussions. The books offer a variety of story lines that the students can relate to. Every year a new set of books is released, and the students look forward to reading them. By reading through the set of Sunshine State Young Reader Award books, my students reading skills and comprehension will greatly improve.
