Students will use these computers to collaborate with peers in programming. Students need the mobility that laptops provide so that they may change programming partners regularly. Programming as a team allows students to think through the entire project and break down difficult aspects to accomplish individually. The first project my students did required them to create a digital scene. One group designed a castle in a meadow with a river and random forest generated. Another group designed an alien planet with randomized fog and craters. I will also use these computers for students to research computing innovations that have changed the world.
