The materials I have requested will help encompass our overarching theme of community helpers. It is important that young students are aware of all the support that people in our communities offer to make the world a better place. With these materials, students will understand that there are different career options available to them as well as the actions that community helpers take to assist people in our area.
Through books, puzzles, and dramatic play props students will understand and appreciate all of the work that community helpers do to keep us safe and secure. We will be able to use the supplies donated in our classroom library and during choice time to encourage learning surrounding community helpers.
