Oral reading is a hugely important skill in my classroom. We work on centers in the afternoons and students either work independently on their center work or join me for reading group.
Every student comes to reading group every day! However, in a space challenged classroom like mine, there isn't much walking space between student seats and the reading group table. The stools would help with keeping a comfortable space between the reading group and the rest of the class. Also, we have a hard time fitting all the students around the table when they are all sitting in chairs. Sometimes they share a seat because there isn't space to bring in another chair. Stools will be an important space saving tool! Desk space is also a precious commodity in our room and the chair pockets would go a long way towards helping students stay organized and help them have plenty of space for their learning needs.
