My school implements PBIS which is a framework of supports and interventions that teaches positive behavior. The school has school-wide behavioral expectations that all students know and follow. The acronym for our behavioral expectations is PAWS. P stands for Prepare for Success, A stands for Act Respectfully, W stands for Work Together and S stands for Stay Safe. Every day students are acknowledged for meeting behavioral expectations by receiving PAWS bucks. Once a month students use their PAWS bucks to shop at the school's incentive store named PAW-Mart.
We are in need of the supplies to offer quality incentives for students that consistently meet behavioral expectations.
The items we are requesting are hands-on and FUN!!! We feel these items will help motivate students to meet our school-wide expectations. We want to offer students that have met expectations a variety of items to choose from. We run PAW-Mart just as any other store, so through this monthly experience students also learn a variety of other skills related to but not limited to critical thinking, savings, exchanging of funds, decision making, prioritizing, and more.
