Bee-Bot coding robots will be used across the curriculum and shared throughout four sections of our Kindergarten classes, reaching over 400 students in a five year time span. With the use of Bee-Bot coding robots, students will learn coding skills for the future, develop perseverance and problem solving skills, and apply understanding of knowledge across the curriculum. Bee-Bot coding robots are an engaging and exciting introduction to robotics and coding skills. Bee-Bot coding robots teach many valuable skills that can be used across the curriculum including: problem solving, perseverance, estimating, sequencing, directionality, number sense, vocabulary, and more! With 60% of our district receiving free and reduced lunches, the Bee-Bot coding robots would provide unique experiences and enrichment to the education of this population, that would otherwise not be possible.
