It is my dream to bring equitable access to all of my students to be able to read the books they are interested in. This is only possible with high-interest books. We take field trips up the road to the library as much as possible to immerse kids in books, but I also like to have options available in my own classroom. I have a set of Playaways in my classroom where students can plug in and listen to books while they read along with the physical book. Now, I am hoping to add this selection of books to my classroom library to get kids excited to read books; books that are like windows to other cultures and mirrors to their own lives.
