These students compete at a regional competition of various categories from Robotics, SYSTEM CONTROL, 3D Architecture, 3D Mechanical Engineering, bio-medical design to prepared presentation and Future Tech Teacher. There are a total of 60 competitive events that students compete in regionally. If they place first, second, or third they are invited to compete at the state level. Placing first at states, they move on to national competition.
This equipment will allow System Control Teams to be more competitive in this event. With the emphasis on rigorous testing of core classes these days; Technology Education classes are sometimes considered not as important as the core classes as now schools are becoming rated based upon those tests. Even though S.T.E.M. (Science Technology, Engineering, and Math)classes are really an accumulation of all of the core classes. However, it is done in a more practical and hands on learning. Purchasing items for Tech Ed classes are always a yearly fight and as you can see quite expensive for 1 kit. The impact of this purchase can be fulfilling for the students.
