I have multiple students with ADHD who struggle to focus in school. When they are allowed to move they can focus and learn better. The fidget chair bands will be provided for all students and will allow students to move in a quiet manner that will not distract others around them. Also, for those students who benefit from moving while learning, they will be able to focus better on what needs to be done.
The dry erase clipboards will allow students to work around the classroom more comfortably and efficiently. We use dry erase boards in our class daily for math. I also have many students who like to come and sit closer to the board on the floor and learn there. However, when they want to move, students seem to struggle to keep their work organized and some students choose to write on the floor which is not comfortable. These dry erase clipboards will be the best of both worlds. They will allow students to use them as more movable white boards and also a clipboard to keep organized if they choose to work somewhere else in the room.
By helping donate to this project, you will allow my high-energy class to better focus on what needs to be done, and also help make moving around the room more possible and comfortable for my students while they learn!
