With the recent issues surrounding the pandemic across the country, many school districts are going fully or partially remote. In my district, students are given the option to learn remotely from home or come to school for in-person instruction. We are responsible for teaching students face-to-face along with pushing assignments/instruction out to those students who are choosing to stay home.
In order for all of my students to receive the best education I can provide, I am hoping to have more resources/equipment that can be utilized in the classroom along with distance learning.
I am constantly purchasing Social Studies and ELA resources on Teachers Pay Teachers. Our Social Studies Curriculum is 13 years old, and there are no online resources that go along with it. I'm not making this up! We also have limited materials for Grammar. I only have one Grammar Workshop book. A gift card for this site would be greatly appreciated. All of those purchases add up, and there are many that I do not purchase due to the higher cost of the resource.
We also only have one workbook, so I'm constantly copying these pages. For my online students, I type the workbook page into a DOC--that is tedious day after day. It would be nice to scan the pages with the printer, upload them to my Google Classroom, and they can complete it in DOCs. As for the printing feature, we only have three copy machines in our building. One of those is mainly for office use. I would also like to add some FUN with learning with an Amazon Dot Alexa. We are a Title I school, and many students do not have one at home. Technology is our future! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
