My students will use the "Summer Learning Mats" as a continuous instruction during this pandemic which are rich tasks, that can be completed independently or with guidance. There will be a daily Math and ELA task. There will also be a "Three-In-A-Row Board" which they can strive to complete throughout the week or go for a complete "Blackout." Once the weekly mat is done they will celebrate their achievement.
These rich tasks will offer my students different levels of challenge and opportunities to think for themselves. They will encourage creativity and imagination by completing them in their Math and Writing journals.
Children need routines and organization and these tasks will strenghten their Math and Reading skills throughout the summer.
