At the start of each school year, students are expected to come prepared with school supplies from "the list," but not everyone has that luxury. The majority of our students cannot afford the basic materials needed.
These basic materials will help my students feel ready to succeed. I am asking for folders to help my students organize their work, notebooks (some specialized) for writing, math, and reading. I am also asking for writing and drawing materials such and pencils, colored pencils, crayons, and markers. My students are so motivated by being able to express their work using art! Lastly, we have literacy centers which are in need of headphones. With these, the students can listen to stories, and research topics of their choosing!
