Our school is located in the inner-city. We are close to 100% free and reduced meal recipients. They are bright, creative and full of curiosity. Over half of my students come from a non-English speaking home. Drawing on real-life experiences helps create background knowledge and fosters vocabulary growth. They are the future teachers, preachers, scientist and doctors.
