A child who can focus, concentrate and regulate themselves can learn. When any of those traits are out of balance, learning can go out the window.
Providing sensory tools that aid students in regulating their bodies and minds can set the stage for amazing academic experiences! When a child feels safe, secure and comfortable in their own skin, then, regardless of a disability or learning challenge, they can make progress in any academic area. Something as simple as having a child with sensory issues sit in a peapod chair, that engulfs them, can give them the pressure that their body needs to pick up a book and read.
