I have chosen each book with my students' diverse backgrounds in mind. These amazing stories will spark conversations that will take my students on a journey of learning. Multicultural books serve as important tools in students gaining an understanding of their own culture and the culture of others. This is so important in the world we live in today. Our surroundings have families and friends from all cultural backgrounds. We want to understand, love, and be compassionate to others. I want my students to have conversations, gain knowledge, and make discoveries on different cultures other than their own.
