As a first year teacher in the midst of a pandemic, my classroom will be needing more help than I had originally planned for. From individual learning materials, to automatic pencil dispensers for less germs being spread, my classroom will be able to keep up with safety measures that CDC recommends. I included items in my donors choose list that will be used by either the students, or myself, on a daily basis.
Many of the items on my list are items that will help with sensory overload. From fidget bands on desk chairs, to sensory toys and reusable ice cubes for the "cool down corner", my students will have outlets during the day to make them feel more grounded.
My hope is for each student to have what they need at all times during the course of the day so they can strive to be the best they can be.
