Creating engaging ways to connect with kids virtually isn't easy especially when trying to teach social-emotional skills. We are learning to think outside the box and use tools in different ways to connect and teach online and even in hybrid situations as schools re-open in the fall.
Books and games are a great way to help bridge the gap between in-person counseling and virtual social-emotional learning. This with the support of some workbook journals for them to use independently will be a good start in supporting the social-emotional needs of our students as we move into the next phase of school uncertainty during this crazy pandemic.
