This year the pandemic has changed the entire view of a classic classroom model. When the pandemic began in March I had to rush and begin teaching digitally. That was a huge switch for everyone, but I learned so much and now I want to ensure that this school year my students thrive regardless of the situation. In order to do that, I want to provide my students with the supplies that they need in this uncertain time. I want their families to know that they are supported in the community and we are partners in their child's education.
The supplies needed for my project will help me with my daily instruction for math and literacy digitally. Using the workshop model in math and reading, students will use their whiteboards for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. The whiteboards will allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work during the zoom sessions. The crayons, pencils, dry erase markers and other supplies will help my students have the necessary supplies needed to be engaged and ready for learning virtually.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student achievement digitally, but you will ultimately give them the tools they need to be successful this school year!
