Kindergarten is such an important year for kids. This is their first year at school and each and every student enters their Kinder year at a different level. Some students have been to pre-school, some have never heard of a letter in their life. Some have a difficult time sitting still for longer than 3 minutes and others want to write away all day long. While all Kinder students are different, the one thing that is for sure is that all students learn best when they have the resources to do so.
This year is going to be an interesting and challenging one. In the fall, we will be teaching from a distance, and many students won't have access to the materials to be successful. Please help me provide materials for students at home learning. Materials like crayons, and pencils to individual math manipulatives.
Young students need to wiggle and move through out the day. My goal as a teacher has always been to provide all my students a creative and flexible classroom. With social distancing rules this year, it will be so crucial when we return to the classroom that we can maintain social distance but also not be restrained to an uncomfortable chair all day long. The flexible seating options I am hoping for will help my students learn in a creative and flexible seating classroom.
