Due to distance learning requirements, I provide on-line speech/language therapy to my students. At least half of my students are on the Autism Spectrum and some use augmentative communication devices. That is, they use an electronic device or picture boards to communicate their wants and needs.
All of these students need visual supports to help them make progress with their communication skills. Boom cards provide a visual and in some cases are interactive which helps keep the child engaged. Learning packets for specific goals can be purchased, which can be used during our sessions and also downloaded for home practice.
