My ELA classroom is a creative space where students learn to express themselves with confidence and precise language. We create art with words, and discover diverse literary geniuses that have changed the game and raised the stakes. We study their power and then stake our own claim on the language and the culture. We learn to edit our work and others, and to give respectful criticism in a supportive environment.
