Due to COVID, I need to be able to provide students with the tools necessary to participate in ART class without SHARING! We have spent years teaching our kiddos how to be good citizens and to share, and now we need them to social distance and to be mindful of others' property.
That means that each student will need their OWN set of art materials such as markers, paint, pencils, etc. to help protect them from the spread of potentially harmful germs. This includes students following along on-line. Our district has chosen to allow families to choose whether they feel more comfortable learning in person or from home. Either way, students need these materials that many cannot afford.
Teaching art is more important than ever. "Art teaches creativity and innovation. It teaches multiple answers to problems, encouraging mistakes and experimentation. It teaches students to be thinkers- not memorizers." - Matt Fussell
In an age of complete uncertainty. That is exactly what we need. Can you help?
