Our students are amazing. Even during these days of uncertainty, they have stepped up and showed how much they enjoy art and being creative. A creative mind needs to be creative. It does not matter if they are sitting in the classroom or are learning from home. These students deserve equity in their education.
At the beginning of the year, teaching both at school and at home children was a learning experience. Both the students and the teachers were struggling to make this new way of learning and teaching work. It took a few weeks for most of us to get in a good rhythm. Once we figured out how and what to do, the students began to shine. Now we are going into another semester and I'm hoping we can help them continue to shine.
We are moving from Studio Art 2D into Studio Art 3D. 3D is a more "hands on" type of art class. These supplies will help mold these creative minds and give some of the students the outlet they need when dealing with having to learn in this hybrid environment. You see, art allows these students to be themselves. It allows them to show how they feel in so many creative ways. As they do so, art helps them focus, cope, and prosper. Please find it within yourselves to help supply these students with some of what they need to finish out the year victorious. Thank You!
