There is such a huge connotation when you hear about physical education class. A lot of people think it's all about playing dodgeball, basketball, football, etc., mostly traditional sports. However, as a physical education teacher I want to change that thought process.
I love teaching non-traditional sports and activities that are played over someone's entire life. Sports like tennis, pickleball, swimming, spikeball, and golf are activities anyone can play at any age. Being able to teach activities and games that brings students out of their comfort zone and allows them to experiences new things in physical education classes is something I strive for every day.
