All of my students have unique sensory needs. Their little bodies need movement in order to take in academic material and retain information.
In a traditional classroom model, it is very hard for students to get the movement that they need. This results in lowered academics, behavior problems/outbursts, and inappropriate movement seeking (inability to maintain their body in the space or desk). These seating options will give the kiddos a way to move in an appropriate way within the classroom environment.
When a student's sensory system is regulated they show improved attention and better retention of academic material.
