Our football team needs a major overhaul with new equipment, but we need to do it one step at a time. The priority right now is to get enough footballs for practice/games. Because of COVID, playing any type of sport is not the same as it once was. Despite the need for new uniforms, our kids will not be winners if they don't have enough footballs for practice. Currently, we are doing everything possible for social distancing. This means we cannot have a bunch of kids together. Instead, with more footballs, there can be many smaller practice groups. In addition to the benefits of having more footballs, team pride is also a factor. Our footballs are old and need to be gone! In the past, kids were able to bring their own footballs to school but not any more, due to COVID. Consequently, they only have the school balls, and they are not ones to be proud of. Our team would definitely benefit by having more footballs.

About my class
