For our curriculum, students will be learning about the parts of a plant. Within this project students with have hands on experience and real life visuals for deeper understanding of the plant parts and how they function. Each student will get a plant grow bag or 2. They will learn how to use a trowel to fill the grow bag with potting soil and how to properly plant the seeds. Students will also work on their Leader In Me skills by having to work together in order to have our garden flourish.
The Grow Bags will allow the students to be responsible for their own growing experience. The students will be able to experience growing a veggie, as well as a herb.
Everything that we grow will be eaten by the students themselves. What a fun experience being able to go from seed to table!
