Art is a class that my students, like so many others, have always looked forward to and loved. They loved to draw, color, paint and most importantly to create beautiful works of art. But many of them do not have even basic supplies at home. Their family circumstances put many things ahead of purchasing paper and crayons. School was where they got the opportunity to let their imaginations run wild while learning about line and colors, famous artists and new techniques.
This project would provide 250 families the opportunity to create and fully participate in art class while at home by providing them with the basic supplies that every elementary artist needs. They will received crayons, markers, colored pencils, paper and glue. And most importantly, they will receive a greater opportunity to experience the joy and wonder of making are once more, even if it is at home.
About my class
