These books will be used to broaden the variety of books my students can use in our independent reading projects. Each marking period, my students choose books they'd like to read and then schedule a time to talk with me about the book. This project has given me the time to talk individually with each of my students about a book that interests them! There is not much time to do that in a high school setting, and my students love getting to read and talk about what they love. It's our favorite part of the school year, and I'd like for my students to have more options to foster their love of literature.

About my class
