We need printer capabilities so I can print resources for my face-to-face students. This includes printing materials such as articles for them to read (I teach high school English), practice tests, worksheets, project materials, progress reports and the like.
I plan to use the classroom printer mostly to create master copies of materials and other single-copy needs while sending my large copy requests to our campus copy room. The copy room does not have the ability to make master or individual copies, and our English department copier is shared by about 30 of us with a very restricted budget for toner, so it is often out of service. I want to avoid having to print master copies ahead of time at my house, which is obviously inconvenient but also will prevent me from providing students with last minute copy access, such as when the copy room miscounts and I am short, or if a student asks me to print out a copy of their grades, etc.
I really appreciate any help I can get! This capability will make our year of learning in the pandemic a little bit easier for all of us.
