At times, the students that we teach require a sensory break. Sensory breaks are also known as movement breaks or brain breaks. We have found sensory breaks to be VERY beneficial for our students throughout the years. Sensory breaks can increase students' ability to calm down, focus, learn, and self-regulate.
The materials that we are requesting will help our students get their "wiggles" out in an appropriate manner. In many instances, students who utilize brain breaks are more apt to be ready for instruction once their brain break is over!
All of the educational materials that we are requesting are sensory based. The goal of ALL of these materials is that after our students have used these materials, they will be calm enough to rejoin the class.
