This preschool program is on its second year. I teach only 3 year olds. This program is essential in my community to support parents in the area of early childhood development.
Preschool is an important time to strengthen their social and emotional growth. All materials requested will not only support their academic growth but also help them gain social and emotional development. All the materials requested will give our students hands-on resources to "play". Play-based learning is most beneficial for this age.
We do centers daily and will use the supplies requested for these small group activities. In each center, we provide a variety of learning experiences for the students. We use art supplies, blocks, dramatic play, puzzles, counting and so much more. Currently, our resources are limited due to being a new program to our district.
We started this year last year with very few resources. I have purchased a few throughout this year and last. I have also supplied the room with manipulatives from my house. I would appreciate any support given to help enhance learning at such a vital age. The supplies requested will be used for hands-on learning activities.
