Imagine listening to "Claire de Lune" or "Flight of the Bumblebee". After listening a few times, you are given watercolors and paper and asked to paint what that piece of music looks like to you. Open minds encourage creativity. No one is wrong. We live by "I Think I Can!" from The Little Engine That Could. At this young age it is important to instill the core belief of trying our best, and being OK with failure. When we fail, we learn what doesn't work and can open ourselves to trying something new. We love each other. We support each others. We take turns and share. We are learning and growing. We are experimenting in a safe environment. I love what I do and appreciate the help YOU give to my class.
