I am asking for basic school supplies so that students can have everything they need for their school work. When I took over the classroom in February, I noticed that some students were missing crayons, expo markers, scissors, and pencil boxes. I have tried giving the students Ziplock bags but they just don't hold up like a plastic pencil box.
We do lots of art projects and fine motor skill practice like cutting and gluing. Especially with COVID, the students need their own supplies and should not be sharing. It is so hard to do project based learning and art when the children are missing basic supplies. We use EXPO markers as an alternative to paper and pencil to practice sight words and math facts.
