My students study alternative energy sources in depth. Among these sources are solar and wind energy. Although the students learn the concepts currently through lecture and virtual labs, this project would allow them to actually see these processes in action! Working in pairs, students could use these kits to make the concepts come alive.
Digital students would be able to finally do something more than just a virtual lab on a computer; they would be applying these scientific principals in their homes or back yards. Video presentations of their working projects would also help them practice their employment skills.
