Since COVID 19 restrictions began, it has become imperative for music teachers to find excellent musical resources online to supplement their teaching to meet the needs of their students. Since January, Quaver music offered a review of their online curriculum to Duval County Public Schools which has been a marvelous tool for me in preparation for exciting, engaging lessons with my students. The students response has been terrific. As an itinerant music teacher, I am responsible for two elementary schools teaching alternate weeks at each. With limited class time with my students it would be invaluable for my students to have an online resource that they could access from home at their leisure. The Quaver music website is user friendly, making it easy to review or make up music lessons and to explore the many songs, musical games to increase skill in music notation, rhythm, pitch, and terminology. Music History comes alive with wonderfully, creative videos and performances. I can't overstate how valuable this is to my students. My major goal for my students is that they learn the love of music by building knowledge and skills to experience the joy of making music together with others. For me, a veteran teacher, Quaver music is like a smorgasbord of wonderful, effective tools dealing with all aspects of music teaching that I can easily use to help my students "Experience Music Like Never Before".
