These book will help my students affirm their own cultural identities and create an inclusive classroom environment. Books are so powerful and my students enjoy being read to daily. I want each student to see themselves represented in our classroom library. These books will lead to many heart-felt questions and conversations. I want my students to have access to books they can connect with and also give them opportunities to expand their worldview. I have seen the excitement of students proudly seeing their culture being represented and I want each student to experience that regularly.
