I hope to build a mini-library in my classroom, which will benefit students in several ways. Foremost, these books will make a difference in student learning by simply inspiring them to read because the content is current and culturally relevant. Likewise, reading helps students build vocabulary and boosts their imagination. While reading, students learn about character traits, and how to overcome moral conundrums and conflicts. Furthermore, being exposed to diverse storylines and writing styles will help students become better writers. Lastly, good literature will inspire students to read other texts such as expository and argumentative, which will keep them informed about the world. Overall, building a classroom library will have beneficial learning outcomes for all students.
