The materials I am requesting are for children who are poverty-stricken and have no control over their circumstances. Each item has a purpose and space already. Most of the requested items are manipulatives to enhance the learning of the children. I want to be the difference in their lives. Each day we will work on a new skill. Using manipulatives such as counters will hold data for the students who are struggling with counting. The handheld clocks can give my students the opportunity to be hands-on. I decided on the magnetic scalloped border and a black fadeless paper roll to help create an enriched environment that attracts the eyes of my students. This is important because it enhances learning and incidental behaviors can be prevented. Each choice was specific and each choice could benefit my children.
