With Covid-19 restrictions last school year, all of our classroom rugs were removed and discarded when the children returned. Looking towards the new school year, I feel it is essential to have a clean, bright new classroom rug to welcome the students to Kindergarten. This is one classroom item that will be used each and every day. We will gather on this rug daily for our morning meeting, read alouds, sharing time, whole and small group lessons, individual reading time, centers, and playing games. This rug will become the heart of our classroom. Working and learning together is what makes Kindergarten so magical and this rug will provide a perfect place for the magic to happen. I look forward to the stories, songs, sharing, exploring that will take place here. This rug would be a great addition to the classroom to help promote social and emotional learning. It is a place where students play, learn, and grow together as friends. Please help provide this bright, beautiful welcoming space for my Kindergartners!
