Lee Elementary Magnet is a World Studies and Technology school. We offer many theme-based programs for our students. One of these programs is UNPACK (Understanding Nations, People and Cultures Kits). After Hurricane Irma, on September 12, 2017, power was restored to the neighborhood and a spark began a fire which destroyed our school. All of our 18 old-time suitcases, which housed our UNPACK program for each of our teachers, were also destroyed, either by the fire or by the thousands of gallons of water used to put out the fire. Lee Magnet has been relocated to another school in our district and we would love to rebuild all of our theme-based programs, like UNPACK, so that our children can get back to some semblance of normalcy.
