I teach basic high school level math (Algebra 1 and Geometry) at a low-income school in Florida. Most of the students I teach have already failed one or more high school level math courses, and have given up on success with math.
I want to reverse that apathy, and get students excited about math. That means I have to work very hard every day to challenge students in an inviting way. It's not the easiest task, but it is the most rewarding thing I have ever done.
