My goal is to implement these bins as a tool that students can use upon completing work or even as a form of an in-class reward. Each bin also comes with task cards which students have to read and solve problem-based questions as they use the manipulatives to help, as well as writing prompts that complement these bins for students to use. The TPT gift card will allow me to purchase additional task cards and writing prompts that will correspond with the STEM Bins. I feel these bins can be a great way to keep students motivated while still participating in an activity where they are practicing valuable skills that will supplement the required curriculum (i.e., place value blocks, measurement activities, composing and decomposing, etc.).
I envision each student will be assigned a different bin with different materials bi-weekly and have opportunities to use them at various points throughout the two-week period. I also envision this becoming another classroom leadership role for students to possibly ensure the organization of materials.
