The instant learning centers I've requested for my students will help provide them with independent, self-correcting activities that build upon their early literacy skills. The centers will allow them to practice skills with minimal teacher intervention while I focus my attention on small groups of learners for more individualized instruction.
Literacy is the biggest challenge faced in my school district, but giving our youngest learners the tools they need to be successful can help close the gap and create readers as early as Kindergarten! The learning centers included in this project will focus on alphabet recognition, beginning sounds, rhyming words, and a number of other skills that are important for Kindergarteners to master before successfully learning to read.
I hope you will consider contributing to the future success of some of our most resilient students.
